Bhubaneswar, March 29: Officials of the Jagannath temple, Puri district administration and the Archaeological Survey of India today held a meeting on the issue of demolishing a building on the outer wall of the shrine with members of the Pratihari Nijog Anand Bhog Committee.
The committee’s office is located in the building.
On March 21, Orissa High Court had ordered the temple administration to demolish the building.
Following the meeting, the ASI officials undertook the demarcation. Officials of the temple administration said the eviction could have been done today, but it would be done tomorrow. The meeting today lasted for nearly one-and-a-half hours at the office of the temple administration.
