Bhubaneswar: The second phase evaluation of Plus Two answer sheets commenced on Monday even as teachers continued to boycott the process pressing for fulfilment of their demands.
The process, going on at 56 centres across the state, will continue till April 26.
The Council of Higher Secondary Education has set a deadline to complete the evaluation within the stipulated time.
On the other hand, teachers under the aegis of All Odisha School and College Teachers' and Employees' United Forum continued to stage protests before the evaluation centres pressing for their six demands. "We will continue with the protests till the state government takes us seriously," said forum leader Golak Nayak.
The higher education department council has appointed degree college lecturers and retired professors to evaluate the answer sheets in place of the absent teachers.
The worry over the delay in publication of Plus Two results continues. "The results, which were earlier supposed to be published by the first week of May, will be delayed. With only 50 per cent of the teachers taking part in the process, it will be impossible to publish the results before the third week," said Archana Satpathy, a senior college teacher.
