
Cuttack: Online sale of tickets for the India-Sri Lanka T20 International at the Barabati Stadium here on December 20 started on Monday.
Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) working committee chairman Dhiren Pallai said: "Tickets for the match can be booked online by logging on to www.get2thegames.com."
The stadium has a seating capacity of 45,000 and 44,490 tickets, including complimentary passes, are expected to be printed this time.
OCA sources said 22,000 tickets would be put for sale, while the remainder would be made available through affiliated bodies of the association and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and complimentary passes.
Palai said: "Of the 22,000 tickets that will be put for sale, 9,300 will be available online and the rest through counters." OCA sources said 3,067 tickets sold had been sold by 6pm on Monday.
"Distribution of tickets through the OCA and the BCCI-affiliated bodies will be on December 14 and 15, while sale from counters will take place on December 16 and 17," Palai said.
Prices for tickets for galleries 1 and 3 are Rs 600 each, while those for galleries 2 and 4 are Rs 500.
The price of tickets for galleries 6 and 7 will cost Rs 400 each. Similarly, tickets for special enclosures are priced at Rs 3,000 while a ticket in the corporate gallery would cost Rs 8,000.
A ticket for the air-conditioned box in gallery 4 and new pavilion would cost Rs 5,000.
"The T20 will be the second international match to be held in a year in Cuttack after the India-England ODI in January. So, we are very enthused," said Sri Vihar resident Anandjit Patnaik.
The OCA has insured the ground and other properties of Barabati Stadium along with the spectators for Rs 20 crores for the match.
