Cuttack: Police on Thursday summoned Pramod Ranjan Dey, a government employee who had made abusive remarks against Jawaharlal Nehru in the visitors’ book at Netaji Birthplace Museum, at his official address to appear
at Dargha Bazaar police station by March 15.
Bus fare hiked
Bhubaneswar: The state transport department on Thursday hiked fares by one paise per kilometre in general and express bus services and two paise in deluxe and air-conditioned buses.
Katki remand
Bhubaneswar: The special task force (STF) of crime branch sought remand of suspected al-Qaeda operative Abdul Rehman Katki. Sources said the city police, which was probing the case, has handed it over to the STF. A team led by a deputy police superintendent will now probe the case.
