Summit to boost start-up ecosystem

Bhubaneswar: The Xavier University will host an entrepreneurship summit from Saturday to boost the start-up ecosystem in the state.

X-seed, The entrepreneurship cell of the varsity, will organise the two-day event titled Xavion.

The event will witness entrepreneurial minds from across the nation sharing their ideas on the pressing issues faced by the start-ups and educate entrepreneurs on fundamentals for achieving excellence.

The participants include students from various schools and colleges across the state, young entrepreneurs and the start-up fraternity across the nation.

The event will start with a panel discussion on "Indiapreneur 2025: Opening up to the Global Frontiers".

The speakers for the occasion Avelo Roy from Kolkata Ventures, Nestaway co-founder Smruti Parida, OneAssist Consumer Solutions co-founder Subrat Pani and Juhu Book Club founder Sonya Dutta Choudhury.

A discussion on "Valuation versus Value Creation" by Abheet Dwivedy and Navpreet Randhawa, both from Invest India, will end the summit.

An "Internship Fair" will take place on the XIMB campus from 2pm to 5pm, where students and participants can explore new internship opportunities with various start-ups.

"We will get to know about a lot of intricate issues related to entrepreneurship which otherwise we do not give much importance," said varsity student Sweety Samantray.
