The implementation of feng shui for small apartments and the ones suited for bachelor accommodation is not easy. With almost no differentiation made between living room, bedroom and hall, you will have little scope in applying feng shui the right way.

The most challenging task is to identify the separations between your rooms.

Each space of your apartment demands various solutions depending upon the use. For example, you might prefer working from home, which requires more separations and dividers in the form of aisles and cabins. Installing feng shui dividers such as rice paper screens or ornately painted ones will produce best results.

Tall beautiful plants will help bring in more freshness. A wood screen, too, helps you obtain good feng shui.

Here is an overview of feng shui properties in an apartment or studio:

Main door and entrance: The main door is referred to as the mouth of Chi or Universal energy. A clear and open entrance is required in case your apartment is small and congested. Proper lighting and fluorescent colours that generate freshness along with beautiful objects can be included for more energy.

Sleeping area / bedroom: Your focus should be on the creation of reasonable space between bedroom and living room. According to feng shui, a place that you see first and go to at the end of the day holds a lot of prominence. The place shouldn’t house television, computer or washing machine.

Place mirrors: Creating the illusion of having more space is possible with the erection of mirrors of various sizes wherever possible. This helps in realising water feng shui energy as well. Bring in more light into your room with their perfect placement.
