Bhubaneswar, Nov. 29: The state tourism department has decided to change the timings of the light and sound shows at the Dhauli international peace pagoda from December 1.
The 35-minute shows, which chronicle the history of Kalinga through the ages, would now be held from 6.30pm to 7.05pm and 7.15pm to 7.50pm. At present, the two shows run from 7pm to 7.35pm and 7.45pm to 8.20pm. The ticket prices have been kept unchanged.
Bhubaneswar tourist officer Shashank Rath said: "We decided to change the timings for winter. Light and sound shows all over the world practise this policy."
Rath said dwindling footfall was another reason for the change in timings. The second show was getting only 15-20 visitors over the past week, compared to the usual 200, he said.
