Cuttack, Aug. 11: Ravenshaw University would organise a training camp as part of the celebrations of International Youth Day, International Year of Forests and the International Year of Volunteering on August 12.

Officials and volunteers from the Orissa state branch of Indian Red Cross Society and the St John Ambulance, a voluntary organisation, would train students on how to provide first aid to victims in cases of emergency. “Nearly 1,000 students would participate in this programme. The training programme would carry on for five months starting from the International Youth Day on August 12 till January 12 the next year concurring with the National Youth Day,” said Sanjay Kumar Satapathy, vice-chairman of Ravenshaw youth Red Cross unit.
