Probe into land scam

Board of revenue member Ashok Tripathy today sought a crime branch probe into an alleged land scam involving 4.5 acres at Chandrasekharpur.

Bhubaneswar, Oct. 9: Board of revenue member Ashok Tripathy today sought a crime branch probe into an alleged land scam involving 4.5 acres at Chandrasekharpur.

The estimated value of the land is Rs 100 crore.

Standing council advocate Jagannath Rath said: "The land was allegedly grabbed by one Ucchaba Sahu between 1971 and 1989. He has already sold the land to various people by forging documents."

The land comes under the forestland category.
