Koraput: Police on Monday found several posters put up by the Malkangiri-Koraput-Visakhapatnam Border Zonal Committee of the banned CPI (Maoist) at Badadural in Khairput block of the district.
"The BSF personnel cannot give you protection all the time. Hence, don't work as informers of the BSF. If anyone is found sharing information about our movements with the BSF, he will not be spared. He will be punished at the praja court (kangaroo court of the Maoists)," reads a poster.
The rebels have also opposed to road construction projects in the area and have threatened contractors not to go ahead with the projects or face the consequences. On Saturday night, the Maoists had set on fire a mixer and a roller engaged in road work at Kartanpali in Mathili block.
"An investigation has been launched to find out the persons behind the posters and anti-Maoist operations have been intensified in the area," said Malkangiri police superintendent Jagmohan Meena.
