Cuttack, May 31: The judicial inquiry commission of Justice (retired) P.K. Mohanty probing into the alleged Pipili rape case has asked the state government to submit records of medico-legal procedures adopted during treatment of the victim.

The one-member commission yesterday fixed June 7 as deadline for submission of the case records.

The state government is expected to furnish the medico-legal registers of the SCB hospital in Cuttack and Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar where the victim had undergone treatment, official sources said.

The commission feels that the medico-legal registers are needed to assess the deposition made by the investigating officer on alleged lapses in the victim’s treatment.
