Perfect poise

Malaysian Odissi dancer Ramli Ibrahim performs at Rabindra Mandap. Hosted by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, dance guru Gajendra Panda’s Tridhara and Ibrahim’s Sutra Foundation, the programme — Krishna, Love Re-invented — was an elaborate presentation of Odissi on Wednesday evening. The Malaysian performer presented a repertoire of Odissi compositions based on those made by the legendary Kelucharan Mohapatra as well as his own guru Deba Prasad Das, apart from Gajendra Panda.
