Bhubaneswar, Oct. 5: If tattoos reflect your attitude or you want to flaunt your creative streak by inking others, gear up for the youth carnival Wet Republik that is set to be hosted this Sunday.

The event to be organised at Green Field resort on the outskirts of the city would bring under its umbrella an array of entertaining and fun-filled activities.

For all those who always wanted to get inked, this could be the best chance, as tattoo artists from the city would open live tattoo counters. Those who feel getting inked is just another fad could visit the temporary tattoo kiosk for some funky designs.

Love grooving to peppy tunes? Then all those having penchant for music can get ready to enjoy chartbusters as national and international DJs are going to spin high-spirited numbers.

Some of the popular DJs of the country such as Harshit, Deep and Raj Roy and internationally acclaimed DJ Arnold from Singapore will be performing at the festival, said the organisers.

“The event is dedicated to the youth of the city who love to party. Keeping in mind their tastes in music and dance, we have invited DJs from various parts of the country such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Calcutta. We have also invited DJs from the popular television show Roadies,” said Tushar, a popular city-based DJ and one of the organisers of the event. “Apart from a dance floor, we will also offer many other games and entertaining activities,” he said.

The kiosks at the carnival will sell stylish accessories such as funky jewellery, lockets, charms, leather products, bandanas, waistbands and headbands.

Fashionistas can look forward to a glamorous ramp show that will be organised at the Wet Republik.

“From beachwear to contemporary designs, models will be seen flaunting the latest fashion. The will join the pool party and cheer the crowd to take a plunge,” said tattoo artist Om Acharya, another organiser.

Delectable and mouth-watering appetisers and beverages will be served at the event. From a wide variety of kebabs to spicy seafood, there will be many delicacies for the gastronomes.

Cocktails and mocktails, too, will be there to quench one’s thirst.

Live fishing is another highlight of the event. The lake at the resort will be open to guests, who can enjoy fishing with friends. “Their catch will be grilled or cooked and served by attendants at the event if they wish,” said Om.
