Bhubaneswar, July 4: The Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE)-2011 rank holders have started online registration and listing the choices of colleges and streams for MBA, MCA, pharmacy courses and lateral entry into engineering.
As per the OJEE schedule, candidates can register and fill up their choices till July 15. For MBA and MCA, the process will continue till July 19, while for pharmacy courses, the deadline has been set as August 2. Those applying for admission into the engineering stream can register themselves from July 31 to the end of the month.
Registration
Candidates are required to visit the OJEE website (www.ojee.nic.in) and click on “New Registration”. To register, select the desired courses and enter application number, roll number, date of birth and a 16-digit barcode number specified in the rank card. After this, a new screen will appear where the details filled up by applicants will be displayed. After that, candidates will be asked to fill up other contact details.
Password
Next, write a password and re-enter it in the “confirm password” field. This piece of information has to be kept confidential and will be used in future for choice filling, checking mock counselling results, and other results.
Choices
After registration, click the “fill choice” button on the menu bar of the screen. The next screen will contain some important instructions, which the candidates have to read carefully, and then proceed to the next screen for choice filling.
The left block of the screen contains a list of all colleges and branches in alphabetical order. The choices can be listed as per government, private, district or all.
The right block will have choices of the candidates. You can add his/her choices from the left block by two methods — multiple addition using the “add multiple” button or addition of one by one using “add” button.
Save information
Although you can list unlimited options, select the colleges and branches on a priority basis for “automatic upgradation” during the course of counselling.
While filling in choices, save the choices at regular intervals using the “save” button. After saving the entire list, take two printouts of the same and produce it at the nodal centre during the final locking process. If the final choices are not locked at the nearest nodal centres, then you will not be considered for seat allotment.
Counselling fee
The locking of final choices, document verification and deposit of counselling fee of Rs 450 for engineering courses will be done at nodal centres from July 18 to 29. Candidates have to deposit the fee in the form of a demand draft drawn on any of the specified banks in the name of OJEE-2011. This is payable at Bhubaneswar at an assigned nodal centre.
Report
Report at any of the 18 nodal centres with original and photocopies of necessary documents as mentioned in the counselling brochure along with registration slip and filled-in choice slip for verification purposes. After submitting a set of self-attested photocopies, take back the original documents. Collect verification slip. Report at the computer counter for choice locking and collect a slip of this signed both by you and the officer-in-charge at the centre.
Seat allotment
The first round of provisional seat allotment is to be held during the first week of August.
This will be followed by deposit of part admission fee during the same week.
The second round of seat allotment is scheduled to be held from August 10.
Manual counselling
The centralised manual counselling for MBBS and BDS would be held on July 14 and 15 and for lateral entry into pharmacy and architecture, it is July 16 and 17. The College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar, has been finalised as the venue.
Classes
Classes in medical colleges are scheduled to begin from August 1 as per Medical Council of India (MCI) guidelines.
In non-medical institutions, classes are expected to start from September 1 as specified by the All-India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
