Odisha effects IAS shuffle

The Odisha government on Monday effected a bureaucratic rejig. It shifted National Health Mission director Shalini Pandit and appointed her as director of Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority with additional charge of Rashtri-ya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan and Adarsh Vidyala-ya. Some 17 other IAS officers have also been either transferred or promoted.

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday effected a bureaucratic rejig. It shifted National Health Mission director Shalini Pandit and appointed her as director of Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority with additional charge of Rashtri-ya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan and Adarsh Vidyala-ya. Some 17 other IAS officers have also been either transferred or promoted.

In Pandit's place, the government appointed Archana Patnaik after her inter-state deputation was over. Similarly, Mrinalini Darswal was appointed as additional resident commissioner in New Delhi after returning from inter state deputation. Additional resident commissioner Tribkiram Pradhan was appointed as register, co-operative societies.

Director, agriculture and food production, Hari Ballav Mishra was appointed as additional secretary in health and family welfare department with additional charge of commissioner, food safety. The incumbent, Bijay Nayak, was transferred to the department of culture as its director.

Cuttack collector Sushant Mohapatra and Jajpur collector Ranjan Kumar Das who are from Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) cadre have been promoted to the IAS cadre and allowed to continue in their respective posts.
