Bhubaneswar: Odisha Public Service Commission has invited applications from candidates aged between 21 and 32 for recruitment to the posts and services under Odisha Civil Services programme. s many as 364 vacancies will be filled up for Odisha Administrative Service, Odisha Police Service, Odisha Cooperative Service, Odisha Revenue Service and Odisha Taxation and Accounts Service. Bicycle gift

Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday asked officials to ensure that all girl students studying in Class X and boys from tribal-dominated areas of the state get a cheque for Rs 2,600 to buy bicycles by November 30. Around 2.70 lakh students will get the bicycles. All the students will have to buy their bicycles by January 31.

Bhubaneswar: Madhupatna police on Monday rescued nine tribal students from Badambadi. They had allegedly escaped from Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. All of them hail from Gopinathpur in Balasore and had taken admission at the institute on November 11. We were missing our parents and were homesick. So, we decided to run away from the school. After running away from the campus, we hired an autorickshaw and came to Cuttack,” said Bhim Singh, a student of Class V. “We had got information from the school authorities and the police about our children fleeing from the school. However, today we admitted them to the school again,” said Nirmala Singh, a parent.
