Angul: A 25-year-old unmarried woman was raped and murdered allegedly by a fellow villager at a forest near Madhupur village in the Bantala police station area in the district. The accused is absconding. The victim had gone to the forest on Monday to collect mangoes. Talcher: Angry locals blocked a road in Talcher on Tuesday morning after a speeding truck ran down a man. The deceased, an employee at a coal factory, was on his way to the office on his bike when the mishap occurred. Local residents blocked the road demanding compensation for the victim.
