Sambalpur: Bargarh police on Sunday arrested the kingpin of an inter-state dacoit gang, Amit Dash alias Boss, from Kantabanzi in Balangir district.he cops have recovered gold and silver ornaments, semi-precious stones worth lakhs, Rs 2.55 lakh in cash, four pistols, 20 live ammunition, one Opel Corsa car, two motorbikes, nine mobile phones, one LCD television, one laptop and music systems from his possession. Documents of Amit’s accounts in 16 banks were also seized. Bhubaneswar: BJP legislature party leader K.V. Singhdeo has reportedly submitted his resignation from his post protesting against “non-functioning” of the party. BJP state unit leader Jual Oram said: “I also heard that Singhdeo had resigned from the post.” On the other hand, Singhdeo said he would reveal all to the press on Monday. Bhubaneswar: BJD on Sunday reconstituted its students’ wing by appointing Bomyakesh Ray as its new president.
