Seize order 

Bhubaneswar: The enforcement directorate on Wednesday issued a provisional attachment order of movable and immovable properties worth Rs 8.23 crore of gangster siblings Sushant and Sushil Dhal Samanta. The attached properties include their house in CDA in Cuttack, bank deposits of around Rs 3.5 crore and seized cash of Rs 3.62 crore.

The gangster sibling was arrested in January for string of crimes including murder and extortion.   

Star power

Bhubaneswar: Actor Urmila Matondkar who was in the city on Wednesday faced an unpleasant situation at the Biju Patnaik International Airport. Sources said the actress did not pay the parking fees and kept waiting in the parking queue for around 15 minutes. Witnesses also said that the driver of her vehicle denied to pay the parking fees leading to a verbal duel between the parking staffs and the driver. Later, the parking employees allowed her vehicle go after identifying the actor without paying the fees.

Train demand

Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday demanded an express train from the state in the name of revolutionary Buxi Jagabandhu. Patnaik put forward his demand while attending an event on 200 years celebrations of Paika Rebellion at Khurdha Fort. The chief minister said that the state government would launch a drinking water supply scheme on the name of the martyr.   

Two held 

Bhubaneswar: Quick action team and Jatni police arrested two youths from Jatni on Wednesday. The cops seized a 9mm pistol and live ammunition from their possession.  The youths  have been identified as Md Sahid Ali, 21, and Md Minas Kadir, 23. Both are residents of Pipili.  

Flight service

Bhubaneswar: The flight service from Odisha capital to  Rourkela will begin from September this year. An MoU between the airport authority and state government has been signed for flight service operation between both the places. The flight service on the route will be launched under UDAN Scheme.
