Letter to Naveen

Bhubaneswar: Union petroleum and natural gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan requested the chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, to attend the inaugural ceremony of a LNG (liquefied natural gas) terminal at Dhamra Port in Bhadrak district. In a letter to the chief minister, Pradhan said the bhumi pujan programme for the project would be held on July 8. The project involves Rs 6000 crore.   

Miracle baby

Kandhamal: A woman delivered a baby boy in a vehicle after it met with an accident in which three people died and 10 others were injured. Both mother and child were reported to be safe. The three people were killed when the Tata Sumo they were travelling in overturned at Sirtiguda in K Nuagaon police limits in Kandhamal district on Tuesday.

File damaged

Sambalpur: Water leakage from rooftop, after a brief spell of rain, has reportedly damaged many important documents and files at head post office in Sambalpur district. Employees of the post office alleged that the leakage occurred due to negligence in the restoration of the roof.

Grievance cell

Bhubaneswar: The Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell will reopen on July 10. The cell was not operational since April 24 because of the summer vacation.
