Three robbed

Bhubaneswar: Armed goons on Saturday robbed three persons, including Mahendra Pradhan, a zilla parishad member of Sarankul zone, of Rs 2 lakh. The victims were coming from Saradhapur when two motorcycle-borne goons attacked them.

Body found

Sambalpur: Local residents blocked the road near the Lakshmi Talkies Chhak after the body of Akshaya Chhura, 32, a cleaner at the cinema, was found in the toilet of the theatre on Saturday.

Arrest

Balasore: Police on Saturday arrested Bansidhar Sethi, 32, Srikanta Mallick, 55, Shantilata Mallick, 32, and Basanta Mallick, 30, for allegedly kidnapping one Gopinath Sahu, 50, from Mirzapur in Balaramgadi. The police rescued Sahu on Friday.
