Flu toll is 24

Sambalpur: One more person succumbed to swine flu on Friday taking the total death toll to 24 in the state. The deceased, a resident of Jajpur, died while undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. On Thursday, a person died at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar and another died after being discharged from a private hospital in Cuttack.

Injured

Bhawanipatna: A woman undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital, Kalahandi, was injured after the cement plaster from the hospital ceiling fell on her on Thursday evening. Nupur Majhi, a resident of Bhawanipatna, was sleeping when the incident occurred. She sustained minor injuries in the mishap.

Urea prices

Bhubaneswar: While the state government had decided to sell urea at the revised price of Rs 295 per bag after implementation of GST, a few cooperative societies are allegedly selling it at a  higher price. Cooperative minister Surya Narayan Patro said selling urea at higher rates would invite stringent action from the government.
