Congress protest

Bhubaneswar: Congress activists on Thursday staged a protest near Master Canteen Square against the police firing on farmers in Madhya Pradesh and the arrest of party vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who was on his way to Mandsaur to meet the family members of the victims.

Three hurt

Balasore: Three persons, including a young girl, suffered critical injuries following a parcel bomb explosion at the Dahapada village in Balasore district on Wednesday night. According to sources, village resident Usha Pradhan and her daughter Mama found a parcel on the balcony of their house. They called Jashobanta Pradhan, their neighbour, and opened the parcel during which the bomb exploded, injuring the trio.
