Rejig order
Bhubaneswar: In a major bureaucratic rejig, the state government on Friday transferred 18 IAS and Odisha Administrative Service officers, including collectors of nine districts. Shuvam Saxena will be the new vice-chairman of Cuttack Development Authority, while Khurda collector Niranjan Sahu has been appointed as director (Industries). The newly appointed collectors were Vineet Bharadwaj (Sundergarh), BS Poonia (Dhenkanal), SK Meena (Mayurbhanj), Roopa Roshan Sahoo (Khurda), Khagendra Kumar Padhi (Bargarh), Anjan Kumar Manik (Kalahandi), Brundha D (Kandhamal), Reghu G (Kendrapara) and Poma Tudu (Nuapara).
Aircraft crash
Balasore: Lakshya, an advanced unmanned aerial vehicle of the Indian Air Force crashed in Balasore district on Friday. The aircraft crashed into field at Chandamani near Baliapal. No loss of life and property has been reported in the incident.
One dead
Rourkela: Unidentified goons killed a person in an attack allegedly over a land dispute at Kokerama village in Hatibari police station limits in Sundargarh on Thursday night. The deceased, identified as Amin Koidi, 50, died on the spot.
