Bhubaneswar, May 24: If you missed director Chakradhar Sahu’s last blockbuster, Kebe Tame Naha Kebe Mu Nahi, at a theatre in Odisha, you can catch it at a multiplex in Bangalore soon.

The film, which released in February in Odisha, will now be released for all Odia film lovers in Bangalore this Friday. Many other Odia films too are in the pipeline to be released in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai giving Odia film lovers away from home a reason to cheer.

The effort of releasing Odia films in other states has been initiated by a group of film lovers. “A couple of months ago, when the Anubhav starrer Something Something had released in Bangalore, my friends and I, who are ardent Odia film fans never got to know about the release. We only found out about it during a visit to Odisha,” said Bulu Patnaik, an engineer residing in Bangalore.

“So, we contacted people from the film industry back home and planned a proper publicity and launch of Odia films to be shown in Bangalore,” he said.

A close friend of actor Sabyasachi, Patnaik and his friends chose to release Kebe Tame Naha Kebe Mu Nahi in which the actor plays the lead role opposite Archita.

Sabyasachi said: “I’m thrilled that the film is releasing in Bangalore and that too at a multiplex situated in an area where many Odias live. Since the film received rave response in Odisha, I hope film lovers in Bangalore will like it too,” said the actor.

Director Chakradhar Sahu is keeping his fingers crossed. “Our work was appreciated here and I hope viewers everywhere else will also like my film,” he said.

Following this, latest Odia films will be released regularly, said Patnaik.

“We will ensure that films made in Odisha get a chance to be viewed by film lovers in all major cities of the country. There is also a lot of demand for Anubhav’s films. So, the next Odia release could be Matric Fail and ACP Ranbir,” said Patnaik.

“All arrangements have been made with multiplexes in the three cities to release select Odia films as and when they are released in the state,” he added.

Bangalore based Odias are already celebrating the release of Kebe Tame Naha Kebe Mu Nahi.

“I have heard good reviews about the film from my friends in Bhubaneswar. I’m really looking forward to watch it here,” said a Bangalore based business analyst, Pragyan Mishra.
