Cuttack: Mystery shrouds the death of 28-year-old Nirjara Behera, whose body was found near the Birupa bridge in Jagatpur police limits on Monday morning.

Police suspect it to be a case of murder. "A case has been registered and investigation is on," deputy commissioner of police Akhileswar Singh said.

The police said preliminary findings said Nirjara of Kapileswar in Choudwar was working as an accountant in a private school in Bhubane-swar. His marriage was to be solicited on January 10. His family told the police that Nirjara received a phone call around 11.30pm on Sunday. After that he had gone out of the house and did not return.
