Rourkela, May 22: Koira police today arrested two persons in connection with the kidnap of a petrol pump owner.
Christ Paulus, 21, the mastermind, confessed to the police to have kidnapped the petrol pump owner, Deb Narayana Gupta, to take revenge on him as he had allegedly forced him to have "unnatural sex" with him when he worked for him.
Christ is a resident of Kusumdihi, 70km from here, in Koira police station limits.
The police arrested Christ and Nikita alias Kamalakanti, 21, yesterday and produced before the media in the evening.
Christ used to work in the Haraswal Trading Company at Kusumdihi owned by Gupta. Christ said Gupta allegedly forced him to have "unnatural sex" with him. Unable to take the torture, Christ left the job last March.
"During interrogation, he divulged these details about his employer," said additional police superintendent Radhabinod Panigrahi.
Christ told the cops that he wanted to teach Gupta a lesson. So, along with his girlfriend Nikita, he decided to kidnap Gupta.
He used Nikita to honey trap Gupta. On April 8 evening, they invited Gupta near a school situated adjacent to the Command Bridge near Kusumdihi. With the help of two of their friends, they overpowered Gupta and tied him to a tree. They first thrashed Gupta. Then they demanded Rs 50 lakh from his family members. They also looted a bracelet and the mobile from Gupta before letting him go.
Next day, Gupta filed a case at Koira police station against three unidentified persons. He could not recognise them as they had covered their faces.
