Former skipper Sourav Ganguly is my role model. Ganguly became the captain of Indian team when we were performing very poorly and had lost test series in Australia. India even lost to South Africa in a home series.

That’s when Ganguly, popularly known as Dada, became captain and the team started performing well. He brought resurgence to the squad. Under him the entire team performed like a unit, which was not seen earlier. He commanded respect from each member of the team, including the great Sachin Tendulkar. He taught the team never to play timidly when opponents play aggressive cricket. He rather inspired all to look at the rivals eye to eye. His memorable captaincy was when he led the team to the final of world cup in 2003. He taught the team never to quit before giving their best. He was a team man and a caring person. His trust on young players was worth praising for. His elegance and mastery over cricket made him special in many ways.
