Cuttack, Nov. 2: The All-India Kalinga Cup Football Tournament will begin tomorrow at Barabati Stadium.
Organised by the state sports department and the Football Association of Odisha, it will see 16 teams battling for the title.
The teams include eight clubs from outside the state, four semi-finalists of the association’s first-division league. It will have four semi-finalists of the association’s Inter-district Club Championship.
It has a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh for winners and Rs 2 lakh for the runners up.
“The association, along with the sports department, has spent over Rs 40 lakh for the tournament,” said Ashirbad Behera, chairman of the organising committee for the event.
