At Sardar Rajas Medical College in Jaring, Kalahandi, of the total 100 seats, 85 will be from the state quota, 10 for students of western Odisha and five for NRI aspirants. The students admitted under the Western Odisha Development Council will also be provided a fee concession of 40 per cent according to an MoU signed between the council and the state government.

“In the second round, counselling will be held for vacant seats under the NRI quota, left out seats and surrendered seats. A seat matrix for the second round of counselling will be prepared before August 28,” said nodal officer for NEET Sitaram Mohapatra.

“If necessary, a third round of counselling will be done before September 30. It will not be delayed further under any conditions, as the order of the apex court has to be followed,” he added.
