How has the journey been till date? rocky or smooth?

I would say it has been exciting - full of thrilling turns and happy hurdles. I can't term it as either rocky or smooth because every bump in the journey is a learning experience in itself. I am lucky to be surrounded by some of the best in the industry. My journey has just started and it has been an exciting one for sure.

If we go by popular perception, people mostly connect you with Bulleya. What is your personal favourite?

I can't really size it down to one song. I am a lover of music and feel so honoured to be able to contribute to the industry with my voice. I am grateful to all the wonderful people I have had the chance to work with. Bulleya will always be close to my heart and I will be thankful to Pritam da (music director Pritam) for instilling hope in me that I am right for the song. Likewise, each song has its own story and will always be close to me.

You have also sung in Telugu, Bengali and Marathi films. Is it difficult to adapt to different vocabularies?

Luckily for us, there is a structure in place when we have to sing for a regional language. There are linguistic coaches who help grasp the nitty-gritty of pronunciation and intonation. The industry has a structured framework where the entire team gets together in making music. It's tough, but it's just a small snag into making a beautiful composition.

What are your upcoming projects?

I am working on my first independent single that we will release shortly on digital media. We are prepping for the video shoot in Trinidad. It has been keeping me busy because it is something very close to my heart and features my band AM Live. There are a few projects in the pipeline, but we shall be able to discuss them once they are announced.

Your latest song Shuru kar from Aiyaary is gaining popularity. Tell us about some of your fan moments.

I am grateful for all the love that I receive from people. It is overwhelming to see people who follow me make covers of my songs, share them on social media and send wonderful messages of love and appreciation. It is their love and support that push me to work harder.

How was it performing in Bhubaneswar and how has the journey been here?

I have always been in love with Bhubaneswar and the love I have received from the people here. It has been a pleasure to perform here. The people are warm and love and appreciate music. It was my first concert here and it was an exhilarating experience for me and my band. We thank everyone for their love.
