Balasore, Aug. 16: A strong stench has exposed a murder and subsequent concealing of the body of a dowry victim, Puspalata Bagudai, at Harida village.

Police today detained Puspalata’s father-in-law Suranjan Bagudai, 63, mother-in-law Manjulata Bagudai, 56, sister-in-law, 36 and her daughter, 18.

Puspalata’s husband, Bijay Krushna Bagudai, 28, who is the main accused, is absconding with his three-year-old son.
