Bhubaneswar: The process for admission into various Plus Three courses in all degree and autonomous colleges will begin from June 12.
The higher education department has issued dates for the admission process. Students can seeks admission by applying online. The last date for applying online is June 26, while it is June 27 for students applying directly into colleges.
Students have to submit their common application form (CAF) online and submit its copy along with all relevant documents and CAF fees (if not paid online) at the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) centre by June 27.
Mihir Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of performance tracking cell of higher education department, said students could contact their nearby SAMS centres or call on the toll free helpline number to know about the admission process.
"In all 522 SAMS resource centres in the state will help the students in the admission process," he said. Students can log into www.samsodisha.gov.in to apply for Plus Three courses.
The merit list of the first round of selected candidates will be published on July 3. The admission process of selected candidates will be held between July 4 and 7.
The second list of the selected candidates will be declared on July 11. Admission of the applicants selected in second round will be held on July 12 and 13.
Classes for Plus Three first-year courses will commence from July 16.
If seats lie vacant after second round selection, admissions will be conducted for the vacant seats on July 21 after accepting offline CAFs between July 16 and 18.
The state government has introduced changes in the admission process into Plus Three courses in the state.
This year, admissions will be conducted for the vacant seats into the degree courses in science, arts and commerce streams through CAF.
From this year students will able to play the CAF fees online as well. Students belonging to transgender category and Persons with Disabilities will be exempted from CAF fees.
Body found
The mutilated body of a 30-year-old man was found at Badajamapasi village in Ghatagaon police station limits in Keonjhar district.
The deceased has been identified as Shankarshan Mohanta, a native of Ghatagaon. The body bore multiple injury marks.
Police have formed a special squad and begun a murder case investigation.
