Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday urged Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) chairman P.K. Singh to set up a medical college and hospital in Rourkela. Naveen also proposed the setting up of a cement industry at Purunapani and a skill development-training centre at Rourkela.

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Museum of Natural History will shortly open a gallery on intangible heritage. The gallery will be run on solar energy. The institute will also work with schools and colleges to come up with a curriculum that will allow them to visit the museum for research.
Volunteers
Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday approved the proposal to implement the Student Traffic Volunteer Scheme in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. The move will ease the traffic mismanagement in the cities. Under the scheme, any student from college or university could take part in this initiative voluntarily and can work for three hours in collaboration with the police.
Suspended
Bhubaneswar: BJD on Wednesday suspended four councillors from Dhenkanal municipality for violating the whip of the party. The councillors are Subrat Nanda , Sasmita Jena, Sumitra Bhoi and Lingaraj Sahu.
