Molest arrest 

Bhubaneswar: Police on Wednesday arrested a 50-year-old for allegedly molesting a 18-year-old girl, who had run away from her house after picking up a quarrel with her parents on June 1. The cops arrested Sadananda Sahu, a security guard at a private school in Kharavela Nagar. 

Gang busted

Baripada: Mayurbhanj police busted an inter-state gang and arrested six in connection with a dacoity that took place on Monday night. The accused have been forwarded to court.

Berhampur: Bana Bihari Ghadei, medical officer of Balisira community health centre, has been arrested by the vigilance department for demanding bribe of Rs 5,000 from Mithun Dakua to sign a death claim form of his late father Pandab Dakua. 

E-waste centre

Bhubaneswar: The department of information and technology will set up an e-waste centre here. The proposed centre will remain responsible for safe handling and disposal of e-waste generated by various government departments. The decision came in view of the new e-waste management rules notified by the Union government recently.

Bhubaneswar: The state government has allotted plot for the Bhubaneswar branch of the Advanced Training Institute at Nandankanan-Baranga. A camp office of the institute will shortly be set up on the plot. Gradually, a state-of-the-art campus will be developed on the plot.
