Bhubaneswar: A preparatory meeting on health care services during the upcoming rath yatra in Puri took place on Tuesday. Health minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak directed officials to do all preparations in due time. Several issues, including the deployment of ambulances, stock of adequate medicines and checking of foods were discussed.

Bribe cuffs

Balasore: A junior  engineer of Patna  block in Keonjhar district  was  arrested by the vigilance wing while taking a bribe of Rs 3,000 on Tuesday. The accused, Arun Swain, was taking Rs 3,000 from Basant Nayak  for clearing  a bill when he was trapped.

Accident

Bhubaneswar: Ten persons were injured in a road accident at Lingipur in Dhauli police limits on Tuesday evening. The accident took place when a truck collided with a private bus going towards Puri. All the injured passengers were rushed to the Capital Hospital.

New projects

Bhubaneswar: The state government on Tuesday approved five projects that will be executed in public-private partnership mode. According to an official, a 496-bed hospital will come up in Bhubaneswar along with several other infrastructure projects.
