Bangla envoy

Bhubaneswar: Bangladesh high commissioner Syed Muazem Ali on Friday met chief minister Naveen Patnaik at the secretariat and discussed how to strengthen bilateral relations, especially in textiles, alumina and sponge iron export, energy, food processing, industries and tourism. He also invited Naveen to visit Bangladesh.   

Three injured

Dhenkanal: Three students were injured when their school van hit a truck from behind in  Hindol. The van was on its way to the school when the mishap took place.

Beach grant

Balasore: Tourism minister Ashok Panda announced a Rs 70cr-package to develop Chandipur beach. The fund would be utilised to improve roads and beach lighting.
