CM to open fair

Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate Sisira Saras, the annual fair for rural products, on Idco Exhibition Ground  on Saturday.  

Jumbo kills 1

Cuttack: A farmer was trampled to death by a wild elephant at Badasamantarapur in Choudwar-Tangi block. The deceased, identified as Pramod Khatua, was attacked by the jumbo when he was returning from his farm.

Two dead

Sambalpur: Two persons were killed after the van they were travelling in hit a stationary truck at Charmal on Friday. The deceased have been identified as Prabhat Biswal, 40, the driver of the van who hailed from from Bantala and Santosh Swain, 45, from Jarasigha area in Angul. 

Trucks seized

Balasore: Nine sand-laden trucks were seized following raids by the Jaleswar tehsildar. 
The trucks were found without valid documents.
