Monsoon session

Bhubaneswar: The monsoon session of the Assembly would begin on August 18 and continue till August 28. The session is likely to be stormy as the Opposition is all set to raise the Brahma paribartan (soul transfer) fiasco and other issues.

Agitation

Bhubaneswar: A group of women on Tuesday ransacked a licensed country liquor shop at Pandara in Mancheswar police limits. The agitators alleged that they were forced to do so after the authorities turned deaf towards their demand for relocating the shop from the area. The agitators set fire to several articles of the shop.
