Temple audit
Bhubaneswar: The accountant general (AG) has asked the state government to facilitate the process to conduct an audit of the Puri Shree Jagannath Temple’s expenditure from 2009 onwards till 2015, including all expenses of the ongoing Nabakalebar festival. The servitors of the temple have also welcomed the decision. The shrine’s chief administrator Suresh Mohapatra said the temple administration would extend all support to the audit party only after the Nabakalebar was over in July.

Bhubaneswar: Chief secretary Gokul Chandra Pati on Monday directed the fisheries department to develop fishery clusters in the state and enhance the growth rate of total fish production to 20 per cent in the coming fiscal.

Kendrapara: Babuni Patra, 3, son of a small and marginal farmer, died from electrocution on Monday at Dhola village in Nikirai police station limits while he was playing near a motor pump.
Banking solution

OMR sheets
Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education uploaded the scanned copy of the OMR answer sheets of this year's annual High School Certificate examinations on Monday.
President of the board, Dakshya Prasad Nanda, said the students can download their OMR sheets from www.prestigeresults.in and www.knowyourresult.com from 2pm onwards.
E-ticketing
Bhubaneswar: E-ticketing system will be introduced at Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves by the end of this year, said Union tourism and culture minister Mahesh Sharma on Sunday. This move will make it easier for the visitors to enter the site and boost the revenue of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Divorce suit
Balasore: Barsa Swony Chaudhary, the daughter-in-law of former minister Raghunath Mohanty, appeared in the family court here on Monday in connection with the divorce suit filed by her husband Rajashree Mohanty. Barsa also pleaded for
interim maintenance under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act.
Silent protest
Balasore: People from various walks of life on Monday staged a silent protest under the statue of Fakir Mohan against the decision of the Fakir Mohan University authority to hold its convocation at a private establishment. An agitator said the university’s decision to hold the programme in a private establishment was unjust as they it had two campuses to host such programmes.
Timber seized
Baripada: The Dukura forest division officials seized timber worth of Rs 50,000 loaded from a vehicle on Monday.
The vehicle was intercepted while it was going to Deulia from Suhagpur, said range officer Batakrushna Padhy.
