Naveen hope
Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday called senior officials, including chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, to his residence and discussed issues pertaining to the state. Earlier, while speaking at a function, Naveen said he was hopeful that the Posco project in Odisha would become a reality.

Paika mutiny
Bhubaneswar: The National Martial Tradition and Cultural Council will celebrate the 200th year of the paika mutiny in the state in a three-day celebration from January 23 to 25 with a number of events scheduled. Around 100 paika akhadas (martial arts) groups will showcase their skills during the event.
City bus move
Berhampur: The Ganjam Urban Transport Services Limited has decided to bring back six city buses from Rourkela and have initiated the process. These buses will join the fleet of 25 city buses that ply in Berhampur, Chhatrapur, Gopalpur and other routes next month.
Body found
Kendrapara: The body of a baby was discovered by local residents in a carry bag near the premises of a private school at Khadianga on Sunday.
Accident
Baripada: Two persons died on spot when the motorcycle they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck on Sunday near Cheligodhuli in Jashipur. The deceased are yet to be identified.
One arrested
Balasore: Police on Sunday arrested one person after intercepting a vehicle with 31 stolen batteries and cables. The accused Babula Gupta was produced in court.
