Tourism meet

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Tourism took part in World Travel Market 2015 between November 2 and November 5 in London. The state tourism department participated in the event with an independent stall to showcase its incredible tourism products to attract more visitors, motivate tour operators, travel agents and buyers. During the event, tourism officials held about 35 meetings with tour operators, travel agents and media representatives.

One dead

Bhubaneswar: A railway employee was killed and another injured in the coach yard at Satya Nagar during maintenance work of a railway engine. The deceased has been identified as D. Prashu. The incident took place on Friday evening when the deceased was under the engine and another train hit it. The injured has been admitted to a city-based private 
hospital.

Loan scam

Bhubaneswar: The Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) has served notices to its 28 employees in connection with a loan fraud scam five years ago. The employees allegedly took out crores in loans from Odisha State Co-operative Bank by producing fake documents. It is also alleged that they forged the signatures of IDCO officials to avail the loans.
