Jharsuguda: A CBI team arrived here to investigate into the death of retired forest officer Vijay Bahadur Singh, who was associated with Vyapam scam. Singh’s  body was found near Belpahar railway station in Jharsuguda.

Gridco plea

Bhubaneswar: The state-owned Gridco on Tuesday filed a petition before the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission seeking its permission to purchase electricity from captive power plants of private companies to meet the shortfall.

Child rescued

Puri: Kumbharpada police on Tuesday rescued a three-month-old boy, who went missing on Monday, and handed over to the Child Welfare Committee. The child of one Durga Das had been allegedly sold for Rs 300.
