Bhubaneswar, Nov. 10: A group of former students and principals of Bhadrak Autonomous College have demanded unitary university status for the 65-year-old institute.

Under the banner of Bhadrak University Action Committee, the group has decided to submit a memorandum to chief minister Naveen Patnaik shortly justifying their demand. “The college has sufficient land and also fulfils the criteria for unitary university status. Political unwillingness is the major reason behind the college being denied the status,” said convener of the action committee Ajaya Nayak.
