Cuttack, April 25: Results of the high school certificate examination for Class X students will be announced on April 27, Board of Secondary Education officials announced here today.

The students will be able to access their results from two designated websites - bseodisha.nic.in and indiaresults.com - and by sending an SMS to 58888, the board announced. The examinations ended on March 24.

The development has come as a major relief for the students with the board announcing the results early this year. This would allow them more time to decide on the colleges and courses they want to enrol in.

Parthasarathi Das, a student from Badambadi, said: "I want to pursue science in Plus Two, and I have already started coaching classes. The earlier the results are announced, the more time we get to prepare for the board examinations and the entrance tests that follow."

An official said the process of uploading the marks on the website servers of over six lakh students, who had appeared for the examination this year, had already been over.

The board has made elaborate arrangements to ensure error-free publication of the results. Besides, steps have also been taken to ensure that the students do not face problems in accessing their results on the websites.

Earlier, students could access their results on five other websites. "This time, we are going to publish the results only on two websites, following complaints from students that they were unable to access their results," said board president D.P. Nanda.

He claimed that the students would not have any problem in accessing these two websites as their servers had the capacity to handle up to 10 to 12 lakh visitors. Board officials also said the reform measures it had undertaken, including online evaluation of the OMR sheets, was instrumental in smooth completion of the process this year.

Apart from the websites, the students can access their results by sending the message ORI10> space> their eight digit roll-number> to 58888.

The official said the students could get all necessary information regarding the results on indiaresults.com. In case of any grievances after the publication of results, they can apply for their re-addition of marks online from May 2.
