Imphal: The North Eastern Re-Organising Cultural Association (Neroca) FC beat Aizawl FC 2-0 in a match of the AIFF Under-15 Youth League 2017-18 at Khuman Lampak main stadium here on Sunday.

The first half went goalless. In the second half, Neroca's Prabin Khangembam struck for the first goal in the 51st minute.

Aizawl FC had chances but failed to utilise the chances. Neroca were rewarded when Kumam Suraj Singh scored the winning goal in the 78th minute.

Neroca player Nganthoiba Mutum was awarded a yellow card during the match.

In another match, FC Imphal City got the better of Numaligarh Refinery Limited Football Association by 2-1 goals.

FC Imphal City started off on a strong note with Moirangmayum Guneshwor Singh scoring the lead for his team in the 22nd minute. Skipper Thoudam Nani Singh consolidated the lead in the 71st minute.

NRL player Animesh Gohain picked up a goal in the added time (90+2 minute) but was too late to save the match.

FC Imphal City players Thoudam Nani Singh, Khaidem Boinao and Kangujam Rishikanta Singh were awarded yellow cards.
