Agartala, Nov. 16: The Congress in Tripura is yet to finalise its list of nominees for the December 11 civic polls in the state.

PCC president Surjit Dutta will select candidates and formulate poll strategy for elections in the 35 wards of Agartala Municipal Council. “So far, I have received only an incomplete report from MLA Gopal Roy. No other observer has furnished any report. I request them to complete the selection process soon as the nomination process commences tomorrow,” he said.

He claimed to have almost completed the task of selecting candidates for the 35 wards of the AMC. The list will be announced in a day or two. Dutta is consulting the MLAs of the town for selection of candidates for wards falling under their constituencies.
