Beach festival:

The 6th Brahmaputra beach festival 2003 will be held from January 13 to 16 at Sonaram field, Bharalumukh in Guwahati. The four-day festival will celebrate the vibrant spirit of Magh Bihu through traditional sports such as boat racing and elephant race. Tradition and modernity blend beautifully with the exotic water sports demonstrations such as wind surfing, rafting, canoeing and kayaking. Major attractions include high-tech thrills like aero sports demonstrations, including micro light aircraft flying, para-dropping and hot-air ballooning.
