Inter-School Cricket
Dibrugarh, May 5: Guru Teg Bahadur Academy registered a 22-run victory over Vivekenanda Kendra Vidyalaya in a quarter-final match to enter the semi-finals of the Kamal Hazarika Inter-School Cricket Tournament, organised by Tinsukia District Sports Association at its stadium in Tinsukia today.
Put in to bat, GTB Academy posted 145 for nine in 20 overs with Arzoo Khan scoring 69 (7x4, 3x6) and Ram Ratan Sharma chipping in with 20 (1x4, 1x6).
For VKV, Pawan Malpani claimed two wickets for 25 runs. In reply, VKV were bowled out for 123 in 18.5 overs. Sourav Paul scored 23 (4x4), while Pawan Malpani contributed 15.
For GTB Academy, Kaushik Saikia scalped three for 17 while Raunak Bharti, Pratham Chetri and Bhringesh Rai picked up two wickets apiece for 12, 15 and 21 runs respectively.
In the remaining quarter-finals, Our ABC Academy will play Holy Child School and Hindustani Kendra Vidyalaya will meet Babies Nursery Co-Ed High School.
