Support to Sabha

Sivasagar, Sept. 15: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal today said Dispur would provide all support for the success of Asam Sahitya Sabha's centenary celebrations. Sivasagar will hold the centenary session of the Sabha in February next year.

CM directive

Guwahati: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday asked the National Highways Authority of India to repair the 183km stretch of the national highway from Dibrugarh to Sivasagar within September 30.

Truck seized

Dhubri: An Agartala-bound truck, with 8,000 bottles of cough syrup valued at Rs 10 lakh, was seized by Chagolia police on Thursday. The truck was coming from Calcutta. The driver and the handyman have fled.
